Donald Lansing
Bio:
I became a parishioner at St. John’s in 1955 when my family moved into the neighborhood. I attended Sunday School at St. John’s for seventeen years and participated in religious instruction on Wednesdays during middle school. While I was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s, I was a member of the St. John's choir until becoming an acolyte at age fourteen. I was also a member of St. John’s Boy Scout Troop 51 and earned my God and Country Award under Rev. Burnham.
On a personal note, I was married here in 1980 and renewed my vows here in 2005. My wife and I have two adult children and two grandchildren. I retired in 2015 after a long career as a computer programming professional.
Currently, I serve as the webmaster for the St. John’s website. I am also a docent and a member of the archive ministry. Additionally, my wife and I administer the organization of the church library.

Claudia Dyer
Bio:
After my husband passed away in 2012, I made the decision that I wanted to be near my daughter
and her family who was living in Troy at the time. I officially made the move in 2013 and moved to
the town of Brunswick. I Googled the nearest Episcopal Church and St John's was the first to appear
so I attended and liked what I saw and I have stayed ever since. I have served on the Vestry before as
Clerk of the Vestry when Father Steve was the priest.
Since that time I have served with the Food and Bread Ministry teams, participated with the
Foyer Groups, and served as a Lector. Recently I have been working part-time for a textile firm.

Sue Rielly
Bio:
My husband, Pat, and I began to attend St. John's Episcopal Church in 1980. It soon became our family's church. Our three daughters have been baptized, confirmed, and married here. Our seven grandchildren have been baptized here. Pat's funeral was held at St. John's in December 2021.
In our early years at St. John's my involvement centered around the children and youth of our church. I taught Sunday school, served as chairman of the Youth Education Committee, and, for a brief time, as interim Christian Education Director. It was always a pleasure to work with youth as well as the adults who so willingly volunteered to work with them in our active and thriving church school, Youth A.M. - P.M. group, and Vacation Bible School.
Although I continue to work with the children in our parish, my involvement has varied to include Altar Guild, Panera bread ministry, and Wednesday morning church. It has been a joy for the Rielly family to call St. John's our spiritual home.

I hold these Ministries deep in my heart. In my spare time I hike with my family, last year I hiked in three National Parks - Joshua Tree, Acadia and Olympic. Tim Rem
Bio:
I, Tim Rem, live in North Greenbush and have been worshipping at St. John's since 1989, when I was married here to my wife, Donna. Subsequently, our three children, Steven, Jennifer, and Rebecca were baptized and confirmed at St. John's, were Sunday School students and acolytes. The church of my own youth was St. Vincent's in Albany
where I was an altar boy for many years. I am now retired from my position as Laboratory Specialist for the Division of Infectious Disease at the Wadsworth Center NYS Health Department but continue to work per diem as a Medical Technologist at St. Peter's Hospital.
I was a member of the Properties Committee at St. John's for several years before accepting my current role as the committee's co-chair. In that capacity, I am often on site and have helped to manage church facility maintenance and operations projects that range from a rusty lock to weed whacking to the restoration of the Baptistry. I have also, over the past years, lent a hand with fellowship activities such as event clean-up crews and routinely picking up the Panera Bread for the Saturday morning Bread Pantry. My first term on the Vestry at St. John's has been a rewarding experience. I have grown in my knowledge of the Church and St. John's in particular: the physical plant, historic and present-day, as well as her people. As a member of the Vestry, I look forward to helping St. John's to successfully move forward in her mission to worship Jesus Christ and serve the world through God's grace.
